Topking Fingerfood has a new owner as of 21 October 2019. Signature Foods BV takes over the shares of the current owners of the Schiedam brand manufacturer.
Topking becomes part of the ambitious group. The independently operating companies within the group are mainly known for the brands Johma, Westland Salades, Gourmet Salades, Heks'nkaas, Hamal, Délio, Kitchen on a Mission and Maga.
Topking Fingerfood originated in 1982. Vlammetjes®, the first product, was created at the kitchen table of founder Bert Roubos. The original spicy snack turned out to be the foundation for an efficiently organised production company. Bert Roubos' rebellious way of doing business turned out to be a great success, and in the years that followed many other well-known brands were added to the portfolio, such as KaasTengels® and VlamTosti's®.
With pillars such as quality, commitment and a varied range, Topking Fingerfood has grown into a well-known player in the Snack and Fingerfood market in recent decades.
Topking Fingerfood has been headed by General Director Edwin Hak since 2010. Topking Fingerfood will continue to operate independently and under its own label under the banner of Signature Foods BV. After the takeover, Edwin Hak remains General Manager and is therefore responsible for the day-to-day management and strategy of the company.
Edwin Hak explains: “Topking has found a reliable and ambitious partner in Signature Foods BV. The growth strategy will be further developed, by taking advantage of our mutual expertise. We are confident about the future.”
